Who is Joey Cutting? Being called numerous names in my lifetime including Joey, JoeBob, Joe Shmoe, JoJo, JoeBro, and Joseph, I have always put people as the forefront of my personality. Focusing on others has always gotten me where I have wanted to go while helping me have a blast along the way.

Seeking to give back to those who have enlightened my life, I am continually on the pursuit of empowering others and pushing others to become the best that they can be. Because of this, my leadership philosophy is a direct correlation to the foundation of who I am as a person, professional, and teammate.

Current Position

Currently, I am fortunate enough to be an Athletics Marketing Graduate Assistant at James Madison University. Working full-time while attending Graduate School has not been an easy task, but I have done my best to take advantage of the opportunity, stay positive, and meet some wonderful people.

 By the end of this two-year adventure, my hope is have made a significant impact amidst our athletic department, my graduate cohort, and the rest of the JMU campus community by building off of my work ethic and personal standards.

Future Endeavors

There is no telling what the future holds for me. All I know is that I am going to continue to live the way that I have always lived. By doing the things that I have always done, I hope to get the things that I have always gotten. By approaching work with a "Yes Man" mentality, I can embrace the possible by creating and living more.

Hoping to manage others and lead them to success, I will incorporate a multitude of these leadership learnings into my professional life. Ideally, I will abandon the fear of failure and continue to empower others to pave their own ways to success.
